Good to Know
Frequently Asked Questions
From durability to pricing — and how the whole thing works.
Powder coating vs. paint — what's the difference?
Paint is a wet finish that air-dries. Powder coating is a dry powder applied electrostatically and then baked in an oven, where it melts and bonds into one tough, uniform shell. The result resists chips, scratches, fading, and rust far better — typically lasting 3–5 times longer than conventional paint.
How long does a powder-coat finish last?
For most items, many years — it holds up to weather, UV, chemicals, and daily wear. Outdoor pieces like railings and patio furniture keep their color and gloss far longer than painted ones.
What can you coat — and what can't you?
We coat virtually any metal: iron, steel, aluminum, stainless, copper, and brass. It must be metal only — all non-metal parts (nylon, plastic, gaskets, cast aluminum) have to be removed first. If we remove them for you, an additional fee applies.
How does pricing work?
Powder-coating price depends on the part's size, condition, prep/sandblasting needed, color/finish, and quantity — so we quote per job. Sandblasting is $150/hour. The fastest way to a number: text a photo of your part to (931) 801-9607 and we'll get right back to you.
How big of an item can you handle?
Up to roughly 25 feet in length — long railings, gates, structural steel, and oversized fabrication that most local shops simply can't fit.
What's your turnaround time?
Most jobs are finished within a few days, depending on size, prep, and current shop volume. Need it by a certain date? Tell us and we'll let you know what's possible.
Do you work with businesses and production runs?
Absolutely. We serve both individual customers (car parts, wheels, patio furniture, restorations) and fabrication/manufacturing shops needing consistent production runs and recurring volume. Ask us about turnaround and capacity for your parts.
